A Town Like Dead Wood is a comedy set in a small Welsh town during a recession. The format is a deliberate pastiche of "Under Milk Wood" in which we see the life of the town reflected through cameos of various characters. The brief glimpses we have of their lives is enough to leave us with the clear impression that recession is having its effect on the community. However, as long as you have a group of people holding on to the remnants of their society you will always have intrigue, complex personal relationships, sex … in fact everything you find in life's comedy.
Presented as a Radio Play with each cast member taking on multiple roles and live, on-stage sound effects provided by our very own foley artists, the Silver Twins.
